The Mixon Hole is designated a Marine Conservation Zone. Its clay cliffs, capped with limestone, are home to a rich biodiversity of marine habitats.
Known for the vertical drop over the northern lip edge, the Mixon Hole is within the Selsey Bill and the Hounds Marine conservation zone.
The maximum depth is 27m, with the top ledge at 6m, meaning that this is a true multi-level dive—use EANx32 to help you enjoy it the most.
At the bottom of the hole is a clean gravel bed that hosts cat sharks and Rays, and the Crabs and Lobsters fight for boulder nesting space, while on the wall, other marine life inhabits the ledges and holes.
