The Brigitta, otherwise known as the Teapot, sank on the 4th December 1917 by a mine; unfortunately, two lives were lost.
She sits on a sandy bottom five nautical miles east of the Nab Tower off the Isle of Wight.
The Brigitta is called the Teapot after a Teapot recovered by the Selsey Bill Sub Aqua club.
She was an armed merchant vessel en route from Barry to Dieppe.
She lies in three parts (upside-down stern, boilers, and midships/bow) at a depth of 20 meters and has a very distinctive propeller.
