XS2/AC2 is the most inexpensive regulator in the cressi range but this dosen't mean it cant be the best, the XS2 2nd stage is complemented with the traditional cressi AC2 piston 1st stage.
The AC2 has been constantly reviewed over the years, this regulator has lots of admirers due to the fact that it is extremely simple, strong and reliable, this makes it easy to use and result in low-cost maintenance.
The AC2 2nd stage is traditionally sized and made from hi-tech polymers. With a lateral valve downstream system with adjustable orifice it is again simple and extremely reliable. It comes with a a flow deviator that acts on the venturi effect, with dive/pre-dive function helping to make it more stable on the surface.
In any case, performance levels of this set are high, and it is suitable for any kind of dive, so much so that we use them in our dive school where they recieve many times the punishment they would during personal use without issue.
